Edwin van Zoeren started Dutch Denim Repair out of a passion for denim. It all started when he bought his first pair of raw jeans. He became interested in the way they were produced, the fades and how to repair them, the best way possible. On social media channel Instagram, he met a lot of like-minded people with the same interest in ‘blue gold’. During the years he met a lot of different people within the denim industry and community.

As a hobby, he started repairing jeans for friends which turned out in a small business nowadays. That’s how Dutch Denim Repair came alive.

The services Of Dutch Denim Repair

With Dutch Denim Repair, Edwin is offering a quality denim repair service since 2018. His mision is always to get the best result possible for your denim. In that way, you’ll be astonished by the way your favorite pair is restored after the repair. It will feel just like a perfectly broken in pair of denim with an extended life. The repairs will blend in with the wear and will maintain the character of the fades.

For Edwin, it’s also important to make sure your jeans are well taken care of by checking them for possible future damage. That being said, he will not repair something, without having your approval. Everything will be known up front.

Dutch Denim Repair is able to offer different and custom repairs. But he also offers a chainstitch hemming service, a tapering service, waistband alterations as well ass pocket replacement. With the multiple machines and tools, Edwin is able to make a garment or pair of jeans from scratch. 

Clothing brand and more

In 2020 Edwin has lauched together with Clinton Topley, an unique thrift store that is selling modern vintage denim and garments, from new to heavy worn. Including the service DDR is providing. This project is called Wear Tear Repair

Almost a year later, Edwin succesfully lauched the first 'Capsule' and sold out the first batch of 200 jeans, named Dutch Denim Project.

SHIPPING

Dutch Denim Repair ships with PostNL, DPD and DHL postal service shipping including Track & Trace. The tabel below gives the estimated time of delivery according to PostNL; Dutch Denim Repair is not responsible for any shipping delays after the parcel has been handed over to the right drop-off point. All shipments will be done the next businessday.

Shipping deal

This deal includes a shipping label to send over a parcel to Dutch Denim Repair and the fee for its return. We use PostNL for our domestic and standard foreign postal service, all send with Track & Trace-service. Other services are also available, such as DPD and UPS, contact us for more info.


 

PAYMENTS

All payments should be made through the Dutch Denim Repair website's check-out system, using any of the accepted credit-, debitcards or PayPal. If you don't have a credit card or PayPal, please send an email to info@dutchdenimrepair.com, and we will take it from there.

All prices are stated in EURO (€), including Dutch VAT (9% on repairs and alterations / 21% on goods) and without shipping costs.

 

RETURN POLICY

You may return an item without any given reason, as long as:

  • All original tags are attached;
  • the item is in the state as bought - unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, etc (with the exception of trying on);
  • altered item;
  • you send an email to info@dutchdenimrepair.com, that you will be returning the item, within 30 days upon receipt.

Please note that:

  • Dutch Denim Repair is not responsible for the shipping costs returning the item;
  • after the item is received it will be thoroughly inspected to check the condition – Dutch Denim Repair will refund the total invoice amount if the condition matches the state as it was bought;
  • any additional costs not stated on the invoice, such as import duties, will not be refunded;
  • the returned parcel should be marked as a 'RETURNED ITEM' in order to avoid custom fees or any other additional costs for Dutch Denim Repair - in the case of custom fees or any other additional costs, Dutch Denim Repair is reserved the right to refuse the parcel and it will be returned to sender.

 

 

Received a damaged item?
In the unlikely event of receiving a damaged item upon arrival, caused by a third party such as the shipping company*, or a production error**, please notify Dutch Denim Repair by sending an email to info@dutchdenimrepair.com regarding the issue within 3 days after delivery, to apply for a full refund including return shipment, or exchange with full refund of return shipment.

*This only applies to damaged items without any noticeable damages to the packaging box. Damaged parcels should never be accepted without checking the contents first.

**Sometimes a production error can only be noticed after several days of use. In the unlikely event of this, you may contact Dutch Denim Repair within 60 days upon receipt. We will reserve the right to examine the product and determine if the problem is indeed a production error or not.
